| Shown above is our awesome new PRO
BILLET distributor!! The housings on these are fully machined from a solid
block of 6061-T6 aluminum, giving them incredible strength, accuracy and a
show quality finish. For those serious about performance as well as looks,
these use a heavy duty centerless ground 1/2" hardened steel shaft held in
place by completely sealed ball bearings. They also feature a permanently
fixed extremely accurate magnetic pickup which never requires adjustment.
These use "Spark Plug" style locking terminals on the cap to ensure a
positive connection. We are offering these for a limited time at an
introductory price, and never before has such a high quality distributor
been available for such a reasonable cost!! These also have a performance mechanical
advance curve built into them. This includes only the
magnetic pickup trigger only, so it will need to be used in conjunction with some
type of ignition box, such as an MSD 6A, 6AL, 7AL or equivalent, or a Chrysler style electronic control

| For more mild street applications, we
also have our Ready to Run Street distributor. These feature a simple 2 wire
hookup, and no external ignition box is required. A completely maintenance
free magnetic pickup accurately triggers the ignition system. The increased
output of the internal ignition system included in these far outperforms a
stock ignition and will help to smooth out the engines idle, make starting
easier, and provide a stable spark, even at higher engine RPM's. These also
feature a performance advance curve setup at the factory, and a vacuum
advance is included to help with fuel economy. Just like the PRO BILLET
versions, these use "Spark Plug" style locking terminals on the cap to
ensure a positive connection. Color of the cap may vary depending on stock.

| We offer this set of spark plug wire
separators, including chrome plated support brackets which attach to the
valve cover bolts or studs. These help to route the plug wires neatly and
cleanly from the distributor, over the valve covers, and to the plugs.
Really comes in handy to keep wires away from hot header tubes, etc. Made
from high grade plastic which helps insulate the plug wires and reduce
shorts and crosstalk. We started using these on our test motors, and we
found they really helped out, so we figured we'd carry them as a
convenience. Current stock is BLUE in color. Includes four support brackets,

distributor hold down bolt & washer bolt kits are exactly what people mean
when they say "show quality." Made from ARP's proprietary "300" stainless
steel alloy, they are rated at a minimum 170,000 PSI, which is even stronger
than a grade 8 bolt! And, you can't beat the quality, shine and corrosion
resistance of polished stainless. Nothing resists the ravages of weather,
time and even repeated tightening and loosening like stainless. These are
truly maintenance free! They also feature a reduced diameter 3/8" drive 12pt
head for easy timing adjustments. Matching polished stainless washer is

Used Distributors There were two basic types of distributors originally used by Chrysler, points and electronic ignition. One easy way to tell them apart is that a points distributor will have one wire coming out of it while an electronic will have two wires, usually with a rubber connector on the end. We do not clean our used distributors because sometimes cleaning solution can break down the bearings/bushings inside and is not good for the resins used in the internal mechanisms. You will get them just as they came off of engines. We do check the bearings and shafts for any excessive wear. Availability is limited and condition can vary, so contact us with your needs. |
